Spirit Talk: Maeve

Maeve was originally the name of the ancient sovereign goddess of the land Ireland whom the king ritually married each year, to ensure the fertility of the land. She became associated with Queen Maeve of Connacht in Ulster province. Maeve demanded that her husband have three qualities: that he be without fear, meanness or jealousy, for she was free to have many lovers.

In this image we see her with the empowerment of the goddess, calling forth the spirits of the land and invoking the higher realms.
